Customer provided paper for a hand bound journal

The inquiry: "I’ve found paper I’d like to use for a journal. Can you make a leather book from it?"
The result: a full crimson leather journal with gold title containing the provided paper.

Custom diary pages

Traditional diaries with dated pages aren&#146t as popular as journals with blank or ruled pages. Even quadrille ruled pages are more popular. However, Dreaming Mind strives to satisfy the minority customer. Dated pages on request.

Foil stamping on annual diary

Gold foil titles are a choice many customers make to bring a formal touch to their purchase. Gold titles can be added to any of our leather products.

For strong books that open well for reading and writing, Dreaming Mind hand sews books in this French style. The sewing is a beautiful detail, completely hidden in the finished work.

Periodically, this customer orders one or both of these matched journals for he and his wife. Note the blind debossed initials in the lower right front.

An 8.5 x 5.5" cloth and leather journal and an 11 x 8.5" full leather journal with a closing belt. The leather journal is chocolate goatskin, the quarter bound journal is black goat with red slub cloth.

Acheological Field Books

These field books contain quadrille ruled pages. Ordered 3 at a time, always in interesting color combinations this customer uses them for archeological field notes.

This customer prefers to keep his journals on computer rather than hand writing them. Once complete (including photos and other digital content) he prints the pages, and sends them for binding. The dimensions vary from year to year and he is always looking for a new color of leather. A dozen years and counting. The year in gold foil on the spine is a unifying element. This journal was bound from cut sheets

This customer wanted a travel journal for a trip to Peru. I sent her this picture during the design process to confirm the material selection.

Leather Travel Journal

This chestnut leather travel journal has additional capacity so a few photos or mementos can be pasted to the pages and still allow the book to close flat. The closing belt helps keep any loose bits inside during the trip.

For their one year anniversary, this customer presented his wife with this blank book. The binding is 11 x 15" containing 400 blank pages in oak covers. Their plan is to write annual summaries of their family’s growth and experience. The silver foil title was created based on instructions by the customer.
Gentlemen, here is a first anniversary gift to be treasured by all for a lifetime.
