Walking with Kandinsky

A limited edition from Dreaming Mind Press and JordahlPhoto
Creation is a walk, a run, a drift.
It is a fearful journey.
from Walking with Kandinsky

Walking with Kandinsky is the first in a series of three books exploring the mysterious paths of creativity. Through pictures and text, this book examines the personal journey of creation, the inspiration of mentors and the collaborative process. This first book focuses on creative blocks and breakthroughs.

All the books in this series are bound as double-spined triptychs, an unusual structure that allows the content to change gradually. As pages are turned, new elements enter to amplify ideas or encourage reinterpretation.

Walking with Kandinsky contains thirteen silver gelatin photographs printed by Kate Jordahl. The images were made in Southern France and Northern Spain by the artist. The book is designed, hand bound and boxed by Don Drake, owner of Dreaming Mind. The letterpress printing is by Lisa Rappoport of Littoral Press. Walking with Kandinsky is a limited edition of 50 hand made books.

All three book in the Conversations Series will be boxed to match Walking with Kandinsky. Owners of all three books will have the option of buying a final slipcase to contain the set.

This broadside is created with the same letterpress and hand printed photographic elements as the limited edition.
